$5.5 Million Nevada Mansion Tied to Iconic Burger Chain Carl’s Jr. Finds a Buyer—Days After $1 Price Cut
A Nevada mansion with intriguing ties to the fast food industry has now found a very fast sale—mere days after its latest listing price was cut by just $1.
The property is located just 15 miles southeast of Las Vegas' iconic Strip in MacDonald Highlands, a tony community where the area’s most luxurious abodes are tucked away from the hustle and bustle of city life, while still enjoying incredible views of Sin City's glittering skyline.
All of the dwellings in the neighborhood are located on a hilltop perch that soars over the Strip, including the 9,600-square-foot mansion that was once owned by the family that brought iconic burger chain Carl's Jr. to Las Vegas.
Built in 2009, it has had several owners over the past 16 years, including the Larsen family, who are credited with bringing Carl's Jr. to southern Nevada and Vegas, opening up 38 locations of the restaurant across the area. It has also been a show home for Dan Coletti, the owner of Sun West Custom Homes.
The Larsens purchased the five-bedroom, seven-bathroom estate in 2013 for $1.1 million and sold it to the current owners in 2016 for the much higher price of $3.42 million, making a very impressive return on their investment.

The most recent owners initially put the property on the market in July 2024 for $6.8 million—and the home would bounce on and off the market for more than a year, as the price steadily declined to $5.5 million.
Then, in June 2025, the dwelling was delisted—reappearing on the market on Nov. 7 for $5.499 million, having undergone a nominal $1 price chop, a move that seems to have done the trick, with records showing that the home came under offer just days later.
Listing agent JD Diaz of IS Luxury revealed that the home not only secured one buyer, but actually had multiple offer, crediting the dwelling's sleek and luxurious finishes, as well as multiple in-person viewings, for the surge in interest.
“We did a ‘refresh’ on the estate that consisted of painting, carpet replacing, and complete modern staging,” Diaz says.
“Our launch campaign consisted of an in-house broker tour, one week of a ‘coming soon’ listing and a weekend one-day-only Home Showcase. The foot traffic was tremendous. Nonstop action.”
One major benefit of those in-person viewings? Getting the chance to see the property's immense vistas in real life.
They are, in a word, unmatched, thanks to multiple observation decks. While it’s not unusual in this community to have views, at this home they are even more superb, Diaz notes.
“Having over 9,600 square feet with almost every bedroom having a complete Strip view,” says Diaz, “makes it very rare and a gem. Typically, you would have to climb the community for a little bit to get a view like this home has.”

Paired with an open layout, it’s the perfect home for a seasoned entertainer, whether it’s for parties, or friends and family staying overnight.
On the main level is the primary suite, which features access to the yard through pocket doors. Various spots to unwind are only a few steps from one’s bed, including a spa, infinity-edge pool, an outdoor kitchen, and covered lounge area. The home’s perch on a half-acre lot makes these amenities possible.
Another fashionable space is the kitchen, with two islands and chef-grade appliances. And for entertaining, there’s no better spot than the game room with its own bar or the state-of-the-art theater.
Wine collectors will swoon over the wine storage in the dining room, ideal for showing off special vintages or displaying bottles during a dinner.
Buyers like the guard-gated community in Henderson, NV, for its privacy, views, and larger lot sizes. Soon, Four Seasons Private Residences Las Vegas, part of the luxury-hotel brand, will debut in MacDonald Highlands, targeting late 2026.
Diaz had a particular buyer profile in mind, too.
“The buyer should be someone who wants open space and of course a fantastic view. People love the MacDonald Highlands because of the security, exclusivity and phenomenal estates through the lush community,” he says.
He also cites the “gorgeous and well-maintained Dragon Ridge Golf Course and social events” as two other perks with huge appeal.
"There is also so much green around, from mature trees to the putting green of the 10th hole,” says Diaz. "There is a reason why it went fast.”
