After 49ers Flameout, Cowboys Quarterback Trey Lance Lists His $2.8M Bay Area Home

Following a trade to the Lone Star State before the 2023 NFL season, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Trey Lance is ready to move on from his Morgan Hill, CA, mansion.

The signal caller bought the place in the suburbs south of San Jose for $2.95 million in March 22, and he recently listed it for $2.8 million. So, he’s willing to take a slight loss to put his Bay Area stint behind him.

Built in 1996, the five-bedroom home has more than 4,000 square feet and comes with a long list of amenities.

Touchdown

One of the luxury abode’s focal points is its double-height grand entrance, which boasts solid hardwood floors and a curved staircase. The layout is bright and airy, with high ceilings and multiple windows.

Further inside, there are several sitting areas with built-in shelving, marble fireplaces, and carved molding. 

Meanwhile, the kitchen is outfitted with Thermador stainless steel appliances, a Sub-Zero fridge, and a walk-in pantry. Enjoy your meals at the marble island’s barstool seating, breakfast nook, or formal dining room. The butler’s pantry and wet bar will come in pretty handy for food prep and entertaining.

The home has big, sun-soaked bedrooms. In the primary suite, there’s a sitting area with a fireplace and French doors that lead to the backyard.

Lance, 23, was a hyped prospect coming out of North Dakota State and was picked third in the 2021 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. Injuries and inconsistent play limited him to just eight appearances with the Niners over two seasons. In training camp, the team made the bold decision to move away from the once-heralded QB. He was traded to the Dallas Cowboys, where he was installed as the third-string quarterback.
