Listed for $2,895,000, the beautifully renovated home was originally built in 1952 by architect Serge Chermayeff.

The Russian-born designer, who taught at both Harvard’s and Yale’s architecture departments during his long career, lived in Wellfleet for 55 years and brought “conceptual rigor and a deeply cosmopolitan flair” to Cape Cod, the Wellfleet Historical Commission notes. The signature panels on the exterior of his own studio became hallmarks of his work. He died in 1996.

The retro abode was last sold in 2007 for $1.8 million.
