Former New York Yankees star Carl Pavano has become embroiled in a very ugly divorce battle with his ex-spouse, Alissa Pavano, that has seen a series of shocking allegations raised about what went on behind closed doors inside their shared Connecticut home.

The bitter legal spat began in 2024, when Alissa first filed for divorce after 14 years of marriage, but has dragged on for two years—continuing even after their split was legally finalized in 2025.

Now, new details about the breakdown of their relationship have been aired after Alissa asked a Connecticut court to void a prenuptial agreement that the former couple signed in Florida, where they first met, claiming that she was coerced into signing the document.

She alleges that Carl threatened to leave her if she did not agree to the prenup, before making a series of shocking accusations about his actions in the wake of her 2024 divorce filing.

In an affidavit obtained by CT Insider, Alissa claimed that, just a few minutes after he was served with divorce papers, the former Yankees pitcher sent a photo "that showed multiple firearms laid out on the kitchen table" at the family home in Fairfield, CT, to a group chat that included herself and her children.

He allegedly wrote "hold the fort" alongside the image.

State Superior Court Judge Thomas O’Neill has already ruled that the prenup is valid—but ordered that Carl would be required to give Alissa a one-time payment of $300,00, adding that he must buy her a new home with a value of up to $1 million and also hand over $50,000 worth of jewelry and a new car.

However, Alissa is now appealing that decision, and her affidavit has been revealed as part of that ongoing process as they continue to split time in their marital dwelling.

The home in question is a beautiful 8,700-square-foot residence that Carl purchased for $2.53 million in 2018, seven years after he and Alissa tied the knot.

Realtor.com® estimates that the six-bedroom, 8.5-bathroom dwelling, which was completed in 2017, is now worth around $4 million.

In a previous listing, the property was hailed as an "amalgam of architectural classicism and fashion forward design that is rooted in the present," with the description calling attention to the home's high-end finishes and impressive amenities, including a "hydraulic elevator" and incredibly elegant primary suite.

However, Alissa's claims about the breakdown of her marriage tell a very different story about the home.

Many of the more shocking allegations center around the couple's shared custody of the children, which requires them to alternate weeks in their former marital home, with each parent living in the property during the time they are assigned to care for the kids.

But Alissa claims that Carl has tried to make that situation as difficult as possible, alleging that he urinated in her shampoo bottles and "intentionally soiled the bed" that she was supposed to sleep in by sharing it with other female partners.

She claims that he then “removed all clean linens from the house so that Plaintiff is unable to have a hygienically clean and safe bed during her parenting time.”

As a result, Alissa has requested that she be given a restraining order against her former spouse so that he cannot come near the home while she is there.

Additional court documents reviewed by the New York Post further detail the allegations made by Alissa, who has claimed that her former spouse "demanded" she sign the prenup and that he demonstrated "intense" and "controlling" behavior throughout their marriage.

The baseball star allegedly demanded Alissa give up "residence, potential employment and all financial independence" while they were together, claiming that she felt forced to walk on "eggshells" when she was around him.

CT Insider reports that police have been called to the former couple's property nine times since 2024. However, it is unclear what the circumstances of these visits were.

The former couple initially met in 2005 in Florida; however, upon learning that Pavano was dating another woman, Alissa noted that she didn't want to be in his "rotation" and stopped speaking to him.

They connected again in 2007 and tied the knot in 2011.

In 2005, Pavano signed a four-year, $39.5 million contract with the Yankees.
