We won’t deploy a series of siren GIFs, but we do have a news item worth linking.

Content aggregator Matt Drudge, the man behind the Drudge Report, has listed his Miami residence for $2,999,000.

The 6,695-square-foot, five-bedroom home at the southern edge of the Miami metro, offers an unusual bonus—especially for a big-city abode.

Namely, plenty of land—4.7 acres, to be exact. And the oversized lot translates to plenty of privacy. The low-slung, rustic house is secured behind a gated fence and is flanked on all sides by leafy palms and other tropical flora.

The interior is rife with exposed beams, travertine floors, and a clean, white palette—a design scheme that strives hard to avoid any competition with the lush forest outside.

A well-appointed kitchen boasts commercial-grade appliances, access to a full-sized dining room, and plentiful natural light from the windows that surround the main living spaces.

The library and sitting area upstairs open to balconies that are the perfect perches for nature-watching. The bath in the primary bedroom also has a waterfall feature and a Jacuzzi tub.

A lovely, shaded, outdoor living space; an entertainment gazebo; and a fully covered pool and pool deck round out the property’s verdant grounds.

This quiet, private retreat is just 30 minutes from downtown Miami—but also a world away.

Founded in 1995, the Drudge Report harkens back to a different time on the web. Still just a white page with a series of unadorned hyperlinks, the site still holds sway over conservative influencers. When Drudge decided to stop backing former President Donald Trump in 2020, rumors swirled that the newsman had lost his edge and that the site had been sold. While there’s no evidence that Drudge has unloaded the site, we do know he’s ready to sell a sweet piece of property in Miami.
