Dylan Dreyer Shares a Glimpse of Family’s First Christmas Inside Their New Home—Complete With Impromptu Hospital Visit
"Today" show host Dylan Dreyer had a roller-coaster Christmas celebration in her new suburban home, revealing that the festivities were abruptly cut short when her son ended up in the hospital with a "touch of the flu."
The 44-year-old TV personality, who revealed in November that she had followed in the footsteps of fellow on-air hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager by quitting city life in favor of the suburbs, took to Instagram to reveal a glimpse inside her family's first festive celebration in their new home.
It was a milestone moment for the "Today" star, who was also marking the first Christmas since she announced she had split from her husband, Brian Fichera, who does not appear to have been a part of the celebrations.
In a series of photos shared on social media, Dreyer wished her fans a "Happy New Year" as she showed off how she spent her holiday with her loved ones—including a snap of her son lying in a hospital bed.
"A little taste of the holiday ... and a little touch of the flu! Hope you all had a wonderful holiday and wishing you a Happy New Year," she captioned the images.

The first image showed her sons Calvin, 9, Oliver, 5, and Rusty, 3, sitting on the couch in matching holiday-themed pajamas in front of their shimmering Christmas tree.
In another snap, her sons smiled from ear to ear as they posed on the stairs, before heading to the living room to open their presents.
The boys were perched in various spots around the living room, surrounded by torn wrapping paper—and an array of different toys that they appear to have received from Santa and their loved ones.
The remaining images showed the various bites that her family enjoyed on the special day, including a large dish of mac and cheese, a platter of green beans, and some popovers.
In the final photo, Dreyer's middle child, Oliver, was seen curled up on a hospital bed, wearing sweatpants and a T-shirt as he underwent treatment for his flu symptoms.
Her glimpse into her holidays comes after she took to Instagram to showcase her family's tree, which was situated in front of large French doors that open to the patio area.
In the first image, the host's sons were seen placing baubles on the tree before flashing a smile to the camera.
In another image, Dreyer and her children were seen going through the Christmas decorations while sitting near their stone-adorned fireplace, which was covered in stockings.

Dreyer could be seen on a ladder placing the tree topper on their fully covered tree, which boasted personal ornaments.
In the last flick in the carousel of snaps, Dreyer showcased her finished tree, which was adorned with yellow lights.
She captioned the image, "Now it feels like Christmas!!"
There was no sign of Fichera in the images, which appear to have been taken at night, allowing the Christmas tree to truly shine in the darkness.
The holiday reveal came after Dreyer broke her silence on her breakup for the first time on Nov. 5, when she appeared as a co-host on "Today With Jenna & Friends."
Having been asked by Hager how life has been as a single woman, Dreyer took the opportunity to hit back at those who have criticized her separation.
"I appreciate everyone’s comments that have spoken up about my life and our decisions and what we have decided as a family, thank you for your opinions on that," Dreyer said.
She went on to share some insight into how her relationship with her former spouse has evolved since they decided to end their marriage, insisting that they still have a very close bond.
"Everybody has their reasons for what leads to a separation or divorce. That’s another story with a lot of wine and that’s a whole different thing, but either way, we’ve gotten to this place,” she shared.
“And there’s something freeing, I think, for Brian and I where—whatever reasons, whatever broke in a marriage—you could either fix it if you can and ideally you would and you try, and you try to fix things. Or you accept that it’s broken and you take this new step forward."

The host previously teased their move on her Instagram by sharing images of her children posing for their first day of school outside of their suburban house, which is surrounded by lush greenery, and one image of the family having dinner while moving boxes sat near them.
The news of her move came just over a month after she managed to secure a buyer for her longtime New York City home—days after she and Fichera slashed a half-million dollars from their asking price.
Dreyer and Fichera originally listed their marital abode, where they were raising their three sons, in November 2024 with an asking price of $2.49 million.
At the time, the couple did not comment on why they had made the decision to part ways with the property. However, Dreyer had previously said that they were starting to outgrow the space, leading some to believe that they were hoping to move into a bigger place.
Dreyer then stunned fans at the start of July when she announced that she and Fichera were going their separate ways after 13 years of marriage, revealing the news in an emotional statement shared on her Instagram account.
Interestingly, just a few days after announcing their split, they removed the listing for their two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit—before putting it back on the market at the reduced price of $1.99 million.
Dreyer and Fichera purchased the two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo in June 2016, according to property records, just a few months before they welcomed Calvin.
She and Fichera also own a stunning beach house in Point Lookout, NY, which they purchased in 2021 for $2.5 million.
