Heather Rae El Moussa and Christine Quinn Confirm They Are Returning to ‘Selling Sunset’—and Promise Major Shake-Up for Fans

Christine Quinn and Heather Rae El Moussa are officially returning to real estate drama "Selling Sunset" after yearslong absences—promising fans that Season 10 of the Netflix hit will allow them to reveal "new versions" of the women they once were.

After months of rumors that the two women were set to make a comeback to the Oppenheim Group, both Quinn, 37, and El Moussa, 38, have officially confirmed the news, while teasing viewers about their plans to stir things up, both in terms of California's luxury real estate market and for their co-stars.

Quinn announced the news of her return in an Instagram video, telling fans she's "back" before asking if they missed her.

El Moussa also revealed she was coming back to the series with a clip shared to social media. In the video, she picks up a phone call and addresses Oppenheim Group founder Jason Oppenheim, telling him: "Jason, it's time. I'm back."

The mother of one—who is married to fellow real estate pro and HGTV co-star Tarek El Moussa—is then seen strutting toward the agency's iconic Sunset Strip offices.

Quinn and El Moussa, who took a four- and three-year break from the show, respectively, told Tudum that things in the Oppenheim office, which is led by Jason and his brother, Brett Oppenheim, will be different this time around, warning fans to expect a "reintroduction" when the season kicks off.

"This isn’t a rewind. It’s a reintroduction," Quinn said, before opening up about how her return to the show first came about.

"[Creator] Adam DiVello and I reconnected after my divorce, and I really appreciate him extending the invitation to come back on," she shared. "I’m returning from a very different place, with more perspective, confidence, and clarity."

El Moussa echoed her co-star's sentiments, noting that she has changed since the last time viewers saw her on their screens.

“I’ve become a mom, a wife, a business owner, and I finally feel secure enough in who I am to walk back into that world and not lose myself in it,” she explained. “I’m calmer, more grounded, less reactive. I know what I want, and I’m not afraid to say it.”

Since leaving the series, Quinn has moved to Texas, previously revealing that she wanted to get back to her roots after her time on the show came to an end.

"A lot of people don't know that I'm actually from Texas originally. So I grew up here, and I went to Southlake Carroll. A lot of people don't know that," she said. "My family still lives in the same house that I grew up in, and I live in the area. I'm a suburb gal.

"Dallas is like my home and Fort Worth as well," she told the Dallas Morning News.

It is unclear what her return to "Selling Sunset" means for her life in the Lone Star State.

Meanwhile, El Moussa has been focusing on motherhood since welcoming son, Tristan, 3, and flipping houses on HGTV show "The Flip Off," on which she stars alongside her husband and his ex-wife, Christina Haack.

"Tarek and I have settled into something really beautiful together. We’re solid, we’re happy. I want people to see the full picture of who I am now. Not just the dramatic moments, but the real life I’ve built," El Moussa said.

Quinn—who was portrayed as the villain during her time on the show—also revealed that becoming a mom has helped her become more "protective of her peace."

“Motherhood has a way of sharpening your priorities and changing how you move through the world. I’ve become more intentional and much more protective of my peace," she said.

However, Quinn assured fans she's still her cutthroat self.

"I’m still ambitious and direct, but I think people will see a version of me that’s more centered and even more sure of herself. I’m hoping this chapter feels fresh and honest. I’m not coming back to play an old version of myself. I’m coming back to show where I am now and let the audience see that growth can still come with an edge," she explained.

Meanwhile, El Moussa revealed she is looking forward to continuing conversations with some of the women she had unresolved tensions with, including Quinn.

"There are conversations that got cut short. I’m also not going to pretend things didn’t happen," she said.

Although she wants to settle the drama, El Moussa emphasized that she wants her relationships with her fellow co-stars to remain positive.

“[This show] is really about a group of women building something together, rooting for each other, figuring it out. There was friendship and camaraderie at the core of it. Coming back, I really want to bring that original spirit with me.

"Obviously, when you put a group of women with big personalities in a room together, there’s going to be tension. That’s just reality, but it’s how you handle those differences that define the dynamic," she said.

Quinn and El Moussa first joined "Selling Sunset" in 2019, quickly becoming fan favorites.
