Herschel Walker Lists His Elegant Atlanta Home for $1.35M

Former football star turned erstwhile politician Herschel Walker is selling his Atlanta home for $1,350,000.

Located in the Buckhead neighborhood of the capital city, the nearly 3,000-square-foot, cottagelike dwelling offers three bedrooms and 3.5 baths.

Walker also maintains a residence in Westlake, TX; but this Georgia home—which actually belongs to his wife, Julie Blanchard—came in handy when he was striving to establish Georgia residency in order to run for the Senate in the Peach State.

At more than 90 years old and set back from the road, the charming property features a huge lawn and stately trees.

The traditional-style interior features a formal living room with a fireplace, a separate dining room, and an inviting sunroom. The kitchen was recently updated and is outfitted with attractive cabinets, black counters, and a petite island with seating for two.

A primary suite is situated on the first level and boasts a fireplace, vaulted ceiling, new bathroom, and large closets. There’s also guest suite on the main floor and a third bedroom on the terrace level. The attic space has been finished and is quite sizable, making it an ideal spot for a playroom or home office.

The house sits on a knoll and is flanked by a spacious backyard. There’s also a large deck that hugs the rear of the house, with plenty of space for a grill, table, and chairs.

Spurred by the support of former President Donald Trump, Walker ran a tight race against the eventual winner of the 2022 Georgia Senate election, losing to Raphael Warnock in a runoff. Before he dabbled in politics, Walker was a state legend thanks to his gridiron feats for the University of Georgia Bulldogs, winning the Heisman Trophy in 1982. He spent 12 seasons in the NFL and rushed for over 8,000 yards.

Today, Walker has reportedly re-enrolled at the University of Georgia and hopes to complete his degree.
