After only two weeks on the market, the iconic Spitzer House in Los Angeles is changing hands. The Italianate mansion was listed just last month for $4,650,000 and is now marked as contingent on Realtor.com®.

The 4,202-square-foot home was last sold in 2010 for $1,783,500.

Built in 1924 by architect Charles Raymond Spink, the house offers a glimpse into Hollywood’s Golden Age and is said to have hosted numerous celebrities, including “Emmy and Golden Globe winners, and industry elite” during its 100-year history, the listing notes.

Filled with antique details such as arched doorways, decorative moldings, iron-forged gates, light fixtures, and even some of the original tile work—the home is a true masterpiece of the Spanish Revival movement.

As a relic of the Prohibition era, the property also boasts several quirks, including a hidden room where alcohol could be discreetly imbibed. The secret space is tucked just off the library, which is decked out with an antler light fixture and elegant built-ins.
