Inside Dan Bongino’s Impressive Property Portfolio as Donald Trump Names Him FBI Deputy Director

Former U.S. Secret Service agent and right-wing podcaster Dan Bongino has been appointed FBI deputy director.

President Donald Trump announced the 50-year-old had been chosen to serve under the new FBI Director, Kash Patel, making Bongino the latest in a string of outsiders who have been appointed to be part of Trump’s inner circle.

Trump, 78, gushed about Bongino’s commitment to his country on his Truth Social Platform, praising him as “a man of incredible love and passion for our Country.” He branded the announcement “great news for Law Enforcement and American Justice.”

He noted that Bongino is “willing and prepared” to give up his conservative podcast, “The Dan Bongino Show,” “in order to serve.”

Bongino previously served under Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush, before he shifted his views and became a popular Republican figure.

Since bidding adieu to his time as a U.S. Secret Service agent, Bongino has spent his days tackling political woes on his podcast. In 2012, Bongino unsuccessfully ran for the U.S. Senate in Maryland.

Trump’s decision to appoint Bongino, despite his lack of experience within the FBI, has raised concerns about Bongino’s experience dealing with national security threats.

The deputy director of the FBI is traditionally a career agent who is responsible for the bureau’s daily operations. And while Bongino might not have served in the FBI, his new role seems to be the latest in a string of career shifts.

Previously, he was a Fox News host and an NYPD officer. In addition to being one of the world’s most successful podcasters, Bongino has an impressive property portfolio.

Maryland homes

Prior to relocating to Florida, Bongino owned a property in Maryland, where he lived from 2002 to 2015.

Despite moving to the Sunshine State, Bongino and his wife, Paula Andrea, purchased a new home in Severna Park, MD, for $543,000 in 2020.

The 2,504-square-foot home has four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms.
