Inside Fox News Host Greg Gutfeld’s Incredible $10.5 Million Family Home as He and Wife Elena Welcome Baby Girl
Fox News host Greg Gutfeld, 60, stunned fans this week when he announced that he and his wife, Elena Moussa, 42, have welcomed a baby daughter together—weeks after he sparked major concern from viewers when he disappeared from the hit show “The Five.”
The longtime TV personality—who also hosts the late-night show “Gutfeld!”—shared the news in a statement on “The Five”: “It is with great joy that my wife Elena and I have welcomed a baby girl into the world.
“Mira is healthy with a real set of lungs,” he continued, joking that his baby girl has his wife’s “beautiful eyes” and his “rock-hard abs.”
Gutfeld’s statement put an end to the weekslong speculation over his absence from Fox News, a controversy that his co-host Dana Perino commented on before sharing his message.
“This is going to be a great surprise for a lot of you,” she said. “You might have noticed that our friend Greg Gutfeld hasn’t been here for a couple of weeks, and it’s for a good reason. This is a statement that he sent me today. So I’m reading this as if I’m Greg.”
While Gutfeld kept the news of his wife’s pregnancy hidden from the public, it appears he may well have been preparing to expand his family for several months now—even investing in a plush (and very pricey) new home in Manhattan, NY, in July.
Property records reveal that the TV host purchased a $10.5 million loft in the upscale neighborhood of SoHo in July, making the deal via the LLC that he used in the purchase of his former New York home.
Located in a 1900s-era, six-story building, which recently underwent a luxury conversion, the condo offers 3,560 square feet of living space.
The unit previously changed hands in 2021 for $8,550,000.
No interior photos are publicly available, but the pet-friendly building includes a retail space on the ground floor.
Whirlwind romance
Gutfeld and Moussa, who married in 2004, met in Portugal while he was an editor at Maxim UK and she was a photo editor for Maxim Russia.
Speaking to Bill Maher on the “Club Random” podcast, Gutfeld recalled their first meeting.
He knew from the start that the two of them were destined to end up together, he said.
“I met her and I go, ‘Oh, that’s my wife.’ I just knew it,” he said. “And then I spent three days in Portugal trying to talk to her.”
Clearly, he was successful because the pair were married just five months later. And now, 20 years later, they are welcoming a child together.
Lovely lake house
When the family want to escape the city, they head upstate to South Salem, where they purchased a lake house in 2018.
Occasionally, the popular host will share an image of the contemporary wood-and-glass build on social media, although the majority of his Instagram posts focus on the couple’s beloved French bulldog, Gus.
Rental property
Previously, the two lived in a nearby but smaller perch, which he put up for rent for $24,000 a month last fall. It’s currently off the market.
Gutfeld purchased the dwelling via an LLC for $5,025,000 in 2015.
Built in 2009, the “meticulously renovated” loft features three bedrooms, three baths, and a spacious terrace. A private elevator opens directly to the entrance of the 2,200-square-foot home.
Luxe amenities include an oversized living room with enormous windows, 13-foot ceilings, a gas fireplace, and custom cabinetry.
The condo is located in a boutique building with a classic cast-iron facade. Residents are provided with a 24/7 lobby attendant.
