“As a 20-year-old radio reporter on the police beat chasing breaking news around San Francisco, I could never have imagined my career path would unfold in the way it has. What an amazing ride,” he gushed.

Holt—who has a net worth of $35 million, according to Closer—hails from California and has called New York City home for 52 years.

He has resided in multiple properties in the Big Apple, with one of the most impressive being his Flatiron apartment, which he sold in 2017 for $6.4 million.

The three-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home was purchased by Holt and his wife, Carol Hagen, in 2007 for $3.2 million, the same year Holt took over as weekend anchor on “NBC Nightly News.” Hagen-Holt works as a real estate agent in New York; she shared their former home’s listing with broker Joann Wasserman.

The apartment is located on Fifth Avenue, in the “NoMad” district—a small, upscale neighborhood north of Madison Square Park. It has 11-foot-tall ceilings, a 48-foot-long terrace, and park views.

The bedrooms each have french doors opening to the terrace, which overlooks the building’s courtyard garden.

The master bedroom has custom closets, and the en suite bathroom features Calacatta marble flooring and walls, a double vanity, a soaking tub, and a separate shower.

The home’s custom window treatments and lights are automated and can be controlled through a smartphone app.

Holt and Hagen met when they were just 21 years old. At the time, she was a flight attendant, and Holt was a radio reporter.

Just two years later, in 1982, the couple tied the knot and then welcomed sons Stefan and Cameron in 1987 and 1990, respectively.

Since taking over the role of “Nightly News” anchor in 2015, Holt has spent the majority of his time at the NBC studios at 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
