Scott, 47, and Deschanel, 45, partnered with Glitterville Studios creator and designer Stephen Brown to give their dwelling some festive joy.

"We take decorating for the holidays very seriously around here," Scott said at the beginning of the clip, adding that he "only trusts" Glitterville.

Speaking about what they want their abode to look like, Scott noted that they "love sparkle, color, and glitter."

"Our own personal holiday theme this year is velvet and bows or tartan and tinsel," Scott added before allowing Brown to get to work.

The first step in Glitterville's process was transforming the living room, which came complete with wood ceilings, wood floors, and wood-paneled walls, and cozy brown and green couches.

"This year, we are going to redo the three, it's going to be a ski-themed tree," Brown said as he and his team got to work placing colorful ornaments on the tree.

Beginning with the tree in the living area, Brown advised viewers to "tackle one section at a time," and add single branches in at the end to make the tree appear fuller.

"The task was to create the tree, but make it different. So, you still love the tinsel, still love the colorful balls, and you still want lots of light," Brown said.

Next, they worked on adding more "character" to the foyer, which was highlighted by the large staircase with a carpet draped on top.

Then, they moved to the solarium, which already boasted a slew of colorful and lit up greenery, which they hung baubles from.

At the end of the video, when Scott was shown the reveal, he branded his winter village "spectacular."

While speaking to People, Scott revealed that they love "joyful characters, vibrant colors, and no shortage of shimmer."

Brown told the outlet that they kept similar themes with "brightly colored balls, a myriad of lights, garlands, and of course lots of tinsel," adding that the couple wanted to feature "a little something to make it different than in previous years."

"For that, we added lots of swallow-tailed ribbons for an extra pop of color … underneath all the tinsel which is Zooey’s absolute favorite!" he added.

The couple purchased their gorgeous five-bedroom home that sprawls across 6,383 square feet in Brentwood, CA, for $9.5 million.

The 1938 Georgian-style home was designed by Gerard Colcord, who was known for his country Colonial style, including exposed wood and brick fireplaces.
