And it will soon be home to former Fox News personality, prosecutor and Donald Trump advisor Kimberly Guilfoyle after the President-elect announced Tuesday she would be his pick for US ambassador to Greece.While detailed public information about its history, architecture and interior features is limited due to security and privacy considerations, some aspects are known.The residence is situated in the affluent Kolonaki district of Athens, an area known for its neoclassical architecture and proximity to significant cultural sites.

The building itself reflects traditional Greek architectural elements along with a Palm Beach, Florida aesthetic, harmonizing with the surrounding neighborhood. Its design includes columns and symmetrical facades, which are characteristic of the area’s historical aesthetic.

Inside, the residence is designed to accommodate both private living quarters and spaces for official functions. The interior includes formal reception rooms, dining areas and meeting spaces, all furnished to represent American culture while respecting Greek artistic traditions.

The Jefferson House plays a crucial role in US-Greece relations, hosting events that foster diplomatic, cultural and economic connections. Receptions, cultural gatherings and official meetings held at the residence contribute to the ongoing dialogue and partnership between the two nations.

Notable happenings include Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s visit in October 2019 and several July 4 celebrations.

The US Ambassador to Greece is George J. Tsunis, a Greek-American lawyer and businessman who assumed the role on May 10, 2022.

During his tenure, Ambassador Tsunis has hosted several notable events at the residence that included a reception honoring Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

On June 7, 2022, the Ambassador’s residence was the venue for the Fulbright Commission Awards Ceremony, celebrating educational exchange and cooperation between the United States and Greece.

The residence also hosted a a reception for the FLEX alumni community, fostering connections among participants of US exchange programs.

Up until Guilfoyle’s split with Donald Trump Jr., she had been living with him in Jupiter, Florida in a six-bedroom, 11-bathroom mansion that occupies over 11,200 square feet.
