Kylie Jenner and Ex Travis Scott Remove $16 Million Beverly Hills Mansion Listing After 2-Year Battle To Sell Huge Property

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott have removed their Beverly Hills mansion from the market after spending two years trying (and failing) to sell the expansive property.

The on-again, off-again couple, who share two children, initially listed the seven-bedroom, 8.5-bathroom home for $21.9 million in 2022, around the same time they split for a second time.

Having purchased the home for $13.4 million in 2018, one year into their tumultuous relationship, Jenner, 27, and Scott, 33, stood to make a hefty profit on the sale—had they been able to find anyone willing to pay their sky-high asking price.

Instead, the duo faced nothing but real estate agony as they repeatedly lowered the price of the property, only to face the same difficulty in finding a potential buyer.

In March 2023, they discounted the home to just under $20 million, then discounted the mansion again in February 2024 to $17,995,000. Months later, they dropped the ask again—this time to $15,995,000.

Now, the listing has been removed altogether.

It’s unclear whether Jenner and Scott are going to try and unload the home in an off-market deal or if they’ve taken the property off the market while they figure out a new tactic for selling it.

However, their battle to find a buyer has been further complicated by the April 2023 implementation of the new Los Angeles mansion tax, which adds a 4% tax to the total transaction for property sales over $5 million and a 5.5% rate for sales above $10 million.

Those are on top of the 0.45% tax Los Angeles already levied on all real estate deals—a tax typically paid by the seller.

The tax is meant to raise revenue for affordable housing initiatives in the city, with the Los Angeles Housing Department revealing in November that it had raised more than $439 million from 670 sales.

However, since the tax was put into effect less than 18 months ago, the luxury real estate market in L.A. has taken a serious hit; a year before the mansion tax took effect, Los Angeles saw 366 single-family home sales of $5 million or more. In the 12 months after, there were 166—a 68% decrease.

Many luxury homeowners scrambled to sell their properties before the tax was implemented, something Jenner and Scott unfortunately failed to do.

The couple faced difficulties in selling the home from the get-go, with luxury real estate broker Arvin Haddad telling Realtor.com® in March that the couple had been too ambitious with their initial asking price.

“They bought it for $13.5 million and have done some work to it, but even $13.5 million was a high number for that property,” he said. “Kylie tends to overpay for everything she buys, but she didn’t get a good deal on the house.”

Still, the property offers plenty of privacy, making it ideal for anyone hoping to hide themselves away from prying eyes—a highly sought-after amenity in Los Angeles.

Described in its listing as a “warm and timeless compound,” the home boasts 9,680 square feet of living space, which includes a home theater, library, wine room, and an enormous chef’s kitchen.

Jenner, who owns Kylie Cosmetics, currently lives in the $36.5 million Holmby Hills estate she purchased in 2020. Scott, a musician, owns a $23.5 million home in Brentwood.

“The Kardashians” star Jenner recently gave fans a glimpse inside her expansive property, sharing a series of images of the mansion on her Instagram Stories.

Revealing in her first post that she wanted to share “things around my home that make me happy,” Jenner posted an image of an elegant dining table surrounded by chic grey chairs. On the wall behind it is a dramatic painting of a nude woman set against a bold green backdrop.

Perhaps one of the most extravagant items featured in the posts was an image of her home gym, which features a $12,000 Christian Dior treadmill and what appears to be a half basketball court.

Jenner also revealed several decorative items that pay tribute to her family, including a heartwarming black-and-white framed photo of herself posing with mom Kris Jenner, dad Caitlyn Jenner, and all of her siblings: KourtneyKimKhloeRob, and Kendall.

Kendall also appears elsewhere in the home, atop a chic mahogany-brown console where Jenner has perched one of her older sibling’s Vogue covers, alongside another version of the magazine that she and daughter Stormi posed for.
