L.A. Home Matthew Perry Bought Before His Death Finds a Buyer

The Los Angeles home that the late “Friends” star Matthew Perry bought a few months before his death has found a buyer.
The mid-century home was listed in May for $5.195 million and then saw its price slashed in September to $4.7 million, Mansion Global previously reported.
Information on the buyer and the final sale price was not yet available. The home went into contract on Tuesday.
Perry, known for his role as Chandler Bing on the hit 1990s sitcom, bought the house in June 2023 for just under $5 million. He used a limited liability company named for Alvy Singer—Woody Allen’s character in the 1977 film “Annie Hall”—echoing the name of his trust.

The actor died from the acute effects of ketamine the following October at age 54 at a different Los Angeles residence, which sold earlier this year.
Located in the Bird Streets—a prestigious section of the Hollywood Hills—the 1957 home has been renovated for modern living in keeping with the original architectural style, according to the listing with Greg Holcomb of Carolwood Estates. Holcomb didn’t respond to a request for comment.
The single-story home is approximately 2,800 square feet with three bedrooms, though it’s currently configured as a two-bedroom with the third used as a screening room.
There are hardwood floors throughout, and the main living area has a double-sided fireplace that backs up to the dining room. The updated kitchen has an informal dining space.
The primary suite leads out to the pool area, which also has a fire pit and a covered seating area.
