A luxurious new megamansion that was outfitted with a custom heated driveway has caused quite the stir online—particularly after a historic winter storm unleashed heavy snow and crippling ice on more than 245 million people in the U.S., impacting homeowners from Maine to New Mexico.

Millions of people found themselves snowed into their properties, while many others were forced to shovel their way out of their homes in bitter conditions.

Of course, such struggles would not have been an issue at the luxurious mansion featured in the viral video, which captures the incredible heating system laid out throughout the interior of the property—and into the front yard, where lengths of pipe were put down to ensure even the driveway remained toasty and warm.

Configured by KP Construction Inc., which has offices in Arizona and Toronto, the luxurious home is seen in the company's video in its final stages of the build, with workers filmed laying down all of the heating elements inside and outside of the dwelling, before covering it all over with concrete.

The dwelling itself boasts an array of impressive amenities, including floor-to-ceiling windows, soaring ceilings, and an enormous great room—but it is the heating system, particularly on the driveway, that has taken center stage, at least online.

However, the true crown jewel of the property is its heated driveway, offering effortless winter access and freeing you from snow shoveling, no matter the conditions. (Instagram)
The property's helpful feature has taken over social media soon after a snowstorm dumped over a foot of snow on 17 states and wiped out power to 830,000 homes and business. (Instagram)

Heated driveways are particularly popular in colder regions that typically get a lot of snow during the winter, because they help keep the property free from frosty buildup, enabling continued use of the drive, even in the harshest conditions.

Although the wraparound heated driveway steals the spotlight, the remainder of the exterior is just as breathtaking, showcasing castle-inspired architecture finished in a crisp white and deep gray color scheme.

However, an amenity as impressive as the home's heated drive comes with its drawbacks—namely a very pricey energy bill, something that KP Construction's video made clear.

The viral video, which has so far amassed more than 23.3 million views and more than 9,000 comments, was captioned, "How much do you think it costs to heat all that concrete?"

Beyond the home's visual appeal, its comfort-first feature has drawn most of the attention as heated driveways have becoming increasingly popular in colder climates.

The driveways are designed with embedded heating systems that sit beneath the concrete, preventing snow and ice buildup.

Not only does it eliminate the need for salt, plows, and manual labor, it also reduces the chances of you slipping down the icy concrete.

The luxury feature was once only reserved for the ultra-wealthy, however, in recent years more and more homeowners have gravitated toward the convenience-driven upgrade.

According to HomeGuide, heated driveways cost around $12 to $28 per square foot installed, while a two-car driveway totals $6,900 to $16,000.

The maintenance costs can also soar into the thousands depending on the size of the driveway.

The clip has caused a viral debate as some social media users have praised the innovation as a wintertime dream, while others questioned whether the pros outweighed the cons.
