Basketball Hall of Famer Dikembe Mutombo just sold his condo in New York City. But after waiting much of the year for a buyer, he probably didn’t get quite the win he wanted.

In February, the three-bedroom unit landed on the market for $4 million. Mutombo whittled the price down a couple of times in April before landing at $3,495,000. But the place ultimately sold for $3.2 million.

It spells a significant loss for the iconic hoopster, who bought the Upper West Side residence in 2013 for $4,950,000.

Here’s a look at what he recently unloaded.

The building was erected in 2002.

Perched on the 42nd floor, the nearly 1,900-square-foot condo has sleek lines and unbeatable views. The Hudson River and the city’s skyline are on display from nearly every room.

And the dining room just might have the grandest vista of all. It seemingly spans the full length of the river to the George Washington Bridge.

Luxe details abound—herringbone floors, huge windows with custom treatments, and a gorgeous eat-in kitchen with granite counters and upscale appliances.

The three baths are clad in marble and sport hand-painted finishes. Nearby, a washer-dryer is tucked away in the hall.

Situated in the Trump Place building, the condo comes with an array of amenities for residents. Highlights include white-glove door service, a valet, children’s playroom, health club with a lap pool, bike storage, a party room, and garage access.

In May, the former center also put his 13,290-square-foot Atlanta mansion on the market for $6.8 million. No buyers have stepped up there yet either.

Mutombo, 57, was an eight-time NBA All-Star, who earned four Defensive Player of the Year awards and was known for his trademark finger wag.

After his playing days ended, Mutombo devoted himself to humanitarian work in the Democratic Republic of Congo. In 2022, he announced he was undergoing treatment for a brain tumor. There’ve been no updates about his condition since.
