"Rehab Addict" star Nicole Curtis has given fans an update on her HGTV show's return after the series was suddenly pulled from the air in July 2025.

The 49-year-old renovation expert took to Instagram to give viewers some highly anticipated news about her home show, months after it stopped appearing on HGTV.

During a mid-flight selfie, Curtis confessed that she was withholding information from her fans about the show's return.

"What’s smothered in CBD Balm, wearing an outfit from 2016, fighting off a migraine, but with amazing looking eyebrows, laying in 10C, thinking 'I’m never gonna hear the end of this one,' but who am I to ever listen about what I should to—how boring would that be?

"It’s me NC—have no fears—you will have an airdate when I return. Yes, on HGTV, yes, it’s still Rehab Addict, yes, I KNOW I SAID FALL—but in my defense, I didn’t say Fall of 2025. (That’s the lawyer in me)," her caption read.

In her comment, Curtis was referring to her July 2025 Instagram post, in which she told her viewers that the series would return in the "fall."

"Rehab Addict" premiered in 2010.

At the time, Curtis revealed, “I made the executive decision to shelf the rest of our new shows until Fall. I appreciate your support and understanding for the late notice.

“It’s just a lot of hours (my hours) to get a show on air and we (my family +me) thought—why are we giving up Summer when we have the ability to do this in the Fall? Thank you to the powers at be at HGTV that were receptive to our idea."

Curtis told fans in October 2025 that she had "recut" much of the remainder of the season's episodes.

She said, "So, I’m in post getting them put back in the hopper that puts them on air. This is unheard of, typically, because production is production and talent is talent and no one would spend money when they don’t have to."

"However, I’m the talent and I am the production and I rewatched these and thought—I have a different idea now. So, I took some rug money (not drug money, my actual rug money) and I reshot a 'few' things."

In a newsletter published in December, Curtis teased an early 2026 release date.

Days later, a spokesperson for HGTV told People that the network had "plans to air the remaining episodes of Rehab Addict Season 9 in Q1," and more information would be available in 2026.

Curtis previously opened up about the "devastating" decision to step back from her filming obligations to focus on her personal well-being, explaining to People how she slowly found her way back to her love of home projects.

Curtis, who hails from Detroit, did not reveal details about the "setback" that led to her disappearance from screens. However, she did lay bare the ways in which she went about getting her life back on track—a journey that she credited to her faith and her newfound fondness for travel.

"I had a setback in my life that just rocked me to the core, and it was one of those moments where I thought, 'How do I get through this one?'” she said.

“I prayed on it, and it was just devastating for me. I had to make a decision right there and then, like, ‘OK, we're going to let this affect us for a very long time, or we're going to pick it up and go,'" she added.

Curtis—who shares children Ethan, whom she welcomed in 1997, with ex Steven Cimini, and Harper, born in 2015, whom she shares with ex Shane Maguire—noted that this season would not see her children partaking, revealing that she was going to keep much of her life private going forward.
