“The octagon is at the center and core of the house,” listing agent Terry Perlmutter, of Barrett Sotheby’s International Realty, tells Realtor.com®. “What is so dramatic is that you are drawn into it, which is the nature of the octagon.

“The beams really define the space. It rises to the center, and there is a skylight over the spiral staircase that is really spectacular. When you come into the house, the walls of glass are punctuated by beam-vaulted peaks that create the octagon.”

Perlmutter believes the location in Lincoln will entice buyers as well.

“I have already had a fair amount of interest in the home,” she notes. “Some families are looking for a studio where they could work from home or need an office space in the home with all of these extra spaces.

“I think it will probably be used as a primary residence. Lincoln is a wonderful community location. It’s a place where less is more. We have five working farms in town, access to 80 miles of trails, and it’s just 20 minutes into Boston. It is a gem of a town and also a very green town.”
