Jennifer Lopez has revealed that she is still residing in the $68 million Beverly Hills megamansion she shared with Ben Affleck, five months after the pair listed the property amid their shock divorce.

Lopez, 55, shared a series of social media posts of herself inside the property over the weekend, revealing that the pricey pad has been decked out for the Christmas season, despite still being on the market.

It is thought that Lopez is living in the home alone; Affleck, 52, is understood to have snapped up a $20.5 million Pacific Palisades bachelor pad in July, where he is said to have been living for the past five months.

In September, rumors began circulating that Lopez was “in negotiations to buy” an opulent $55 million Beverly Hills estate. However, her latest Instagram posts reveal that she is still residing in her former marital home.

The posts in question—one video and one image carousel—show the “Let’s Get Loud” singer strutting her stuff through the opulent mansion in a form-fitting black sequin dress, posing up a storm in front of an immaculately decorated Christmas tree, and cooking herself a midnight snack after a night on the town.

“MY FAVORITE PART about going out is coming home for the midnight snack,” she wrote alongside the image post, which also showed her striking a pose for the camera in her stunning dressing room.

The video post, which was set to a viral TikTok sound that features a dance instructor urging his pupil to “believe in yourself,” shows Lopez catwalking down a long hallway in the home, sashaying past art-covered walls while staring seductively at the camera.

Lopez and Affleck, who has recently been seen spending time with his former spouse, Jennifer Garner, put their expansive 12-bedroom, 24-bathroom property on the market in July—one month before the singer and actress filed for divorce on the couple’s two-year anniversary.

The decision to list the property came amid furious speculation about the state of the duo’s romance—and was seen by many as a foreshadowing of their split.

Lopez and Affleck, 52, first dated in 2002, but split in 2004. However, they reunited more than two decades later—and ended up getting engaged in April 2022, tying the knot in Las Vegas later that year.

Then, in 2023, they found their marital home, a $60.8 million mansion in Beverly Hills. But just two years later, the duo went their separate ways, with J. Lo filing for divorce on Aug. 20, 2024, the couple’s second wedding anniversary.

Months later, the couple’s massive mansion in posh Beverly Hills still languishes on the market, having undergone extensive renovations during the pair’s ownership in order to make it more suitable for their personal tastes.

Given the exorbitant cost of maintaining the home—which Realtor.com® estimates is around $283,666 per month—it may come as no surprise that Lopez has opted to enjoy the run of the property while it remains unsold.

The pair picked up the palatial digs, following a long house hunt, for $60.8 million in May 2023. The massive sum was a relative deal, compared with the mansion’s initial $135 million price tag in 2018. However, they soon added to the expense by embarking on a months-long renovation.

Suitable for a power couple and their children—Lopez has two with her ex Marc Anthony, and Affleck has three with Garner—the 38,000-square-foot mansion on a 5-acre lot has 12 bedrooms and 24 baths.

It comes with a 5,000-square-foot guest penthouse, a caretaker house, a two-bedroom guardhouse, a 12-car garage, and parking for 80 vehicles.

There’s an indoor sports complex with basketball and pickleball courts, a fully equipped gym, a boxing ring, a sports lounge, and a bar.

Outside, there’s a zero-edge pool and spa, the listing notes.

However, despite its many over-the-top amenities, the home has sat on the market for months now without finding interest from a buyer—although celebrity real estate agent Jason Oppenheim recently told Realtor.com that the lengthy listing time wasn’t unusual for a home with such a sky-high price tag.

“It would have been surprising for the house to sell in less than 100 days,” Oppenheim said in October. “Most homes of this magnitude are on the market for six months, and in many cases significantly longer.”

He went on to note that a property of this value, with its separate 5,000-square-foot guest penthouse, caretaker house, two-bedroom guardhouse, 12-car garage, and parking for 80 vehicles, has a considerably smaller buyer pool. The number of people who have the funds for a $50 million-plus home is not that large, as you can imagine.

Still, Oppenheim believes that when the duo do eventually sell the abode, they will do so at a loss, having poured millions of dollars into the property’s renovations on top of the $60.8 million they paid for it in the first place.

“It’s likely they will sell the house in the $58 million to $60 million range, thus they could lose several million dollars on the sale,” he predicted.

But there’s more bad news for Affleck and Jenny From the Block. There’s an extra expense associated with the estate’s lofty location.

“The house is located in the Beverly Hills Post Office area, which is technically in the city of Los Angeles (not the independent city of Beverly Hills), so the mansion tax applies,” Oppenheim explains.

“Therefore, they will have to pay a mansion tax of more than $3 million. So they could lose more than an additional $5 million after commissions, taxes, etc.”
