An incredibly unique Arkansas estate is bringing a world of opportunity to the housing market. Listed for $3.8 million, it offers 95 acres of land, a sprawling stone castle, and an enormous barn ideal for parties and gatherings.

Known as The Castle on Stagecoach, the extraordinary Little Rock property currently operates as a grand wedding venue and a private residence.

The imposing stone property—which is known as "Arkansas' only castle venue"—was designed by architect Ed Brueggeman nearly 100 years ago. It has since changed hands several times, serving as everything from a private home to a party property for all manner of elegant soirees.

But for the past five decades, the castle has been in the hands of John and Eugenie Rognrud, who have turned it into an incredibly successful wedding and event venue. The primary residence offers a beautiful backdrop for photos, while an enormous barn on the property is used for parties.

Yet, listing agent Shelli Stine, of Epic Real Estate, notes that the castle should be seen as a blank canvas by prospective buyers, explaining that it could easily revert to its initial use as a trophy estate or be transformed into a hotel.

"It is being used as an event venue for weddings, team building, brunches, tea parties, and special events, but it could be transformed into a legacy compound," Stine explains.

"It would be great for a family to live there, and it would also be amazing if the next buyer wanted to build a hotel on the property.

"In the past, it even had a nine-hole golf course, so someone could bring that back as well. It could also be used as an equestrian estate, as there are working barns. If you want to continue it as a wedding/event venue, it is being offered fully furnished."

As it stands now, the legacy compound boasts primary living quarters and a guesthouse for extended family and friends.

Original design details include exposed beams, oversized windows, preserved hardwood floors, coffered ceilings, and fireplaces with ornate mantels.

"The architecture is absolutely amazing along with its rich wood details," Stine notes. "What is really unique is the wood that was used in the house actually came from the property. The beamed ceilings are so cool.

"Every room has a special and unique feel," she adds. "The home is certainly not a cookie-cutter. The next owner might want to use it as a retreat for their family to get away from city life coming in from California or the East Coast."

There are also stone floors, arched doorways, and exposed stone walls. A wood-paneled dining area was designed for entertaining. The chef's kitchen has stone countertops, custom cabinetry, and high-end appliances.

"The family who owns the property has done some updates over the years, but they wanted to preserve the historic feel to the property," Stine explains. "The staircase is all wood that was sourced from the property, and the grotto area downstairs is currently being used as the primary living space."

Six bedrooms can be found in the main house. Right now, the guesthouse is being offered for weddings.

"The guesthouse is being used as a bridal area that brides can use to get ready," she says. "It was the first structure built on the property. Construction started in 1928 with the guesthouse, and the barn was built next. The castle was completed in 1935."

Also dotting the enormous property are "towering pines" and "fragrant magnolias" among the working barns, outbuildings, and green pastures.

"I love the view from the property," Stine notes. "You can't believe you are in Little Rock on 95 acres."
