Media mogul—and landlord?

Bill Simmons, the talented sportswriter and podcast host who started The Ringer, is renting out his posh place in Los Angeles for $25,000 a month. As the man himself might say: Any time you can rent a house this nice, you gotta do it.

Built in 1925, his historic home offers good bones and underwent a recent restoration. Peek inside the four-bedroom residence, and see for yourself.

This stately brick home is almost a century old, but it’s been upgraded to include modern amenities and a bright Cali vibe. Set in the Windsor Square area of central Los Angeles, the home is more than 4,200 square feet and features grand formal rooms that are light, airy, and filled with smart built-ins.

A large center hall leads to the living room and dining room, which can accommodate a large table for gatherings. The kitchen offers a useful island, stainless appliances, and a butler’s pantry. A sunny family room, study, and two half-baths are also found on the first level.

The four bedrooms are situated upstairs, as are three newly refreshed bathrooms. There’s lots of storage in the closets, and the attic has been finished. Hardwood floors throughout the home and a water filtration system round out the interior.

Outside, there’s a pool, bar, basketball court, and home-office setup with a half-bath.

Simmons began his ascent in the sports world as “The Boston Sports Guy” and was hired by ESPN in 2001. He stayed with the network for 14 years before he founded The Ringer in 2016. In 2020, Simmons sold his site to Spotify for $200 million. He’s now both the managing director of The Ringer and the head of Spotify’s global sports content.
