Aaron Rodgers’ relationship with his younger brother, Jordan, reportedly remains strained despite the quarterback’s public comments about reconciling with his family.

The renewed scrutiny comes as the Rodgers family navigates changes on the home front: His parents, Ed and Darla Rodgers, sold their longtime Chico, CA, property in May, while Jordan and his wife, JoJo Fletcher, have embraced life in Puerto Rico.

A source told Page Six that Jordan and Fletcher are cordial with the Pittsburgh Steelers star, but suggested his recent remarks paint an overly optimistic picture of the brothers’ relationship.

“It seems like Aaron has led the public to believe things are better than they actually are with Jordan,” the source claimed.

The insider shared the candid revelation about the Rodgers family after the NFL star appeared on the "Not Just Football" podcast and opened up about the state of their relationship.

“There were tough conversations for sure, but I’m just in a much better headspace," Aaron revealed, insisting that he reconciled with his parents and his brother separately.

Aaron then credited his wife, Brittani, for mending their relationship. Brittani's identity continues to remain a mystery, as per the outlet; however, Aaron's brother is reportedly respecting it.

“They don’t like to talk about Jordan’s family. It still seems like a very sensitive topic for Jordan," the source said, adding that they "don't seem to know much" about Brittani.

The insider clarified that the brother's relationship grew more complicated when Jordan and JoJo relocated to Puerto Rico.

“JoJo and Jordan’s location has a lot to do with not seeing the family as much. They love their life in Puerto Rico and really don’t leave unless they have to. Jordan is really busy with work, so even if everything between him and his family was good, it isn’t odd he isn’t at games supporting Aaron all of the time," the source revealed.

Aaron is known to have a very complicated relationship with his parents and his two siblings, which was first brought to light in 2016, when his younger brother, Jordan, appeared on that year's season of "The Bachelorette," during which he accused the football pro of distancing himself from his family.

Jordan claimed in an interview on the reality show that, while he was incredibly close with his other brother, Luke, Aaron had not maintained the same bond with his family, stating: "It’s just the way he’s chosen to do life. I chose to stay close with my family and my parents and my brother."

He later told 2016 series star JoJo: "It’s something we don’t really like to talk about a whole lot. It pains both of us like, not to have that relationship—we miss our brother. I trust that God brings things full circle and that everything would just get back to us being a family."

Aaron's father, Ed, later told The New York Times the following year that the NFL star had not spoken to his family since 2014, but noted that they were all "hoping for the best" as far as a reconciliation was concerned.

In his 2024 Netflix documentary, "Aaron Rodgers: Enigma," the quarterback opened up about the rift in his own words, describing the "loss" of his family as "heartbreaking," and noting that he'd had to "find a way to be my own parent."

Aaron and his siblings spent much of their childhoods in Chico, where their father, who was born in Texas, played football for the Chico State Wildcats—and it was in the California town that the NFL quarterback first started to hone his own sporting skills while playing at Pleasant Valley High School.

However, by the time his parents moved into their recently sold abode, Aaron had departed for the NFL, having spent two years playing football for the California Golden Bears.

Ed and Darla initially listed their Chico home for $1.75 million and, while they ended up selling for just under that asking price, they scored a very sizable profit on the $306,000 they paid for the house nearly 20 years ago—two years after their son was drafted by the Green Bay Packers.

Coincidentally, its sale coincided with another very significant milestone in Rodgers' career—confirmation that he will return to the Steelers for the 2026 NFL season, which many have speculated will be his last as a professional football player.

Speculation surrounding Rodgers’ comeback had been swirling for months after the veteran quarterback was spotted at the Steelers’ training facilities, sparking widespread rumors that a reunion was imminent.

The quarterback originally signed a one-year contract with the Pennsylvania-based team in 2025—and it was initially unclear whether he would return to the side.

But Rodgers is still being weighed down by one reminder of his time with the Packers: the Wisconsin property that he purchased in 2015, which has been lingering on the market for nearly a year now.

When the athlete picked up the property for just over $1.7 million, he had just completed an MVP-winning season with the Packers—a team he spent 18 seasons playing for, from 2005 to 2022.

It's understood that the home served as Rodgers' primary residence for the next seven years, until he was traded to the Jets—with whom he spent just two seasons, before signing with the Steelers.

The lavish house certainly offered plenty of luxury for Rodgers to enjoy during the height of his NFL career, boasting more than 10,500 square feet of living space on a 5.32-acre lot that is filled with lush greenery.

Rodgers has held onto the property even as he has moved teams and picked up other abodes.

He tried to sell the dwelling in 2024 for $2.8 million, however, swiftly took it off the market.

In 2023, sources told the New York Post that Rodgers had no plans to sell anytime soon because he developed a "sentimental attachment to the area."
