Brittany and Patrick Mahomes Swap Kansas City for California as They Enjoy Off-Season Trip With Kids: ‘Time of Our Lives’

Brittany and Patrick Mahomes are making the most of the NFL offseason—leaving Kansas City behind in order to travel to California, where they have been soaking up all the sights and sounds that the Golden State has to offer.

Brittany, 30, revealed a glimpse inside their fun-filled summer on Instagram, where she shared a carousel of photos of herself, Patrick, 30, and their three children enjoying a stay at an idyllic vacation house, before traveling around the San Diego area.

However, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback also managed to sneak in some time to join his teammate, Travis Kelce, on his rumored bachelor party, with social media images showing the two sporting stars taking in a NASCAR race at Naval Base Coronado in San Diego.

For the most part though, Patrick has spent his trip to the Golden State focusing on his family, with Brittany's post documenting their stay at an expansive property—which they appear to be renting during their West Coast trip—where they spent time lounging by the backyard pool, splashing down waterslides, and enjoying quality time together.

Other snaps revealed the Mahomes brood on a trip to the zoo, where the children met a variety of animals, including giraffes, rhinos, elephants, and even a seal.

The couple's three children— Sterling Skye, 5, Patrick "Bronze" Lavon III, 3, and Golden Raye, 1,—appeared throughout the post, with the youngest members of the family enjoying swings, toys, and plenty of outdoor adventures while Patrick soaked up the offseason with his wife and kids.

The adorable moments comes as Mahomes gears up for another NFL season with Kansas City Chiefs, alongside his best buddy and fellow teammate, Travis, who recently confirmed he would be returning to the team.

It's expected that both Patrick and Brittany will be in attendance at Travis' highly anticipated wedding to Taylor Swift, which is rumored to be taking place in New York City within a matter of weeks.

In the meantime, though, Brittany has been focusing her attention on her family, having recently lifted the lid on how being a mom has shifted her priorities.

While speaking to Yahoo Entertainment, she revealed that welcoming children has made her life "more purposeful."

"Everything I do now is connected to creating more opportunities and creating a future that my children can be proud of. Becoming a mom changed so many things in my life and changed how I looked at so many things. It really reshaped and redefined a lot of things in my life," the mom explained.

She also shared that she hopes to teach her kids that hard work and dreaming big can help them accomplish anything.

Brittany previously shared a candid glimpse inside the couple's lives at home with their three children, shedding a very entertaining light on the chaos that erupts when the kids are allowed to run loose around the upscale abode.

In a video posted to her Instagram Stories, the entrepreneur and fitness trainer revealed the havoc that her kids had caused inside Patrick's private at-home basketball court, which has, for all intents and purposes, been turned into a makeshift playground.

Despite Brittany joking about their kids taking over the basketball court, Patrick did previously reveal when they were building the house that he had always intended for the space to be "for the kids."

"I’m going to have a half-football field so I can get some work in with some guys out there," he shared during a 2021 interview with NBC Sports. "I’ll have a basketball court... [but] that’s not for me, that’s for the kids. It’ll have a little golf stuff out there as well."

Brittany and Patrick currently split their time between two properties: an enormous abode in their home state of Texas, where they regularly stay during the off-season, and a custom-built megamansion in Missouri, which serves as their primary residence.

Mahomes and his spouse built the sprawling home from the ground up, having purchased the plot of land on which their dwelling now sits for around $400,000 back in 2020, according to records.

The property spans close to 8 acres—with images revealing that the newly constructed abode features a stunning swimming pool, complete with its own water slide, as well as a large sports field that has Mahomes' surname written across one end.

And Mahomes isn't restricting himself to just football as far as his at-home sporting amenities go; in addition to the field, he and Brittany also added a putting green and a private pond.

In October 2024, the home was the site of a burglary, an incident that he later described as "frustrating" and "disappointing."

"Obviously something that you don't want to have happen to really anybody, but obviously yourself," he said at the time.

Mahomes and his wife are believed to have moved into their home in 2023, having spent close to three years completing their dream abode. At around the same time, they also listed their former Kansas City, MO, dwelling—a much more modest abode that they purchased in 2019.

The Texas native also owns an off-season mansion in Westlake, TX. The four bedroom, 7,800-square-foot estate on a half-acre lot comes with lots of baller perks—a wine room, family room with a gas fireplace, and an outdoor space with a gas fireplace, grill grotto, lounging fire pit area, large pool, tan deck, and spa.
