Dylan Sprouse Shares Intimate Glimpse of Home Life With Newborn Daughter—Months After Intruder Scare at Their $2 Million L.A. Property

Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin are settling into life at home as a family of three—and the new dad has offered an intimate glimpse into the everyday moments he's already cherishing with their newborn daughter.

Just one day after the couple publicly revealed that they had welcomed their first child, Sprouse shared new details about their baby girl, including her name: Sylvie.

The 34-year-old actor opened up about fatherhood on the Sept. 29 episode of his "Wildmen" podcast, revealing that Sylvie has already transformed his daily routine at their $2 million Los Angles home.

Sprouse said he has been spending plenty of time simply watching his daughter take in her new surroundings during the brief periods when she is awake.

"There's a moment when I look at Sylvie, and I'm like, 'This is the coolest thing ever.' She's looking at me, and her eyes are opening," he revealed on his podcast.

Those quiet moments have also included a new father-daughter tradition: watching baseball together from the comfort of home.

"I watch the Dodgers with her, like, every day," Sprouse revealed. Sylvie already appears to be growing accustomed to their routine.

"I can almost see her recognize it's time to sit on the nursing chair with me," he added.

The baseball tradition appears to be an important one for the newly expanded family. When Sprouse and Palvin, 32, announced their daughter's arrival on Instagram on Sept. 28, they shared an image of the three of them at home wearing matching Los Angeles Dodgers jerseys while facing a TV showing a game.

"We took Labor Day literally this year," the couple wrote alongside the family photo.

Sprouse revealed on his podcast that Sylvie had arrived nearly two weeks earlier and that Palvin's water initially broke at home before they headed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

He said the delivery was safe and that their daughter was born healthy, weighing 7.8 pounds.

Now back at home, the former Disney Channel star appears to be embracing even the smallest parts of caring for a newborn.

Sprouse admitted that he didn't anticipate just how much he would enjoy being a "girl dad"—particularly when it comes to picking out clothes for Sylvie.

"I got to tell you, I did not expect to like this as much as I do, dressing her up in little fits, dude," he said. "She's so cute."

He has even found himself getting excited about her accessories, revealing that he purchased a bonnet for his daughter.

"I'm looking at baby Sylvie, and I'm like, 'That's the cutest little thing I've ever seen in my life,'" he said.

Of course, life with a newborn has also brought plenty of less glamorous moments.

Sprouse joked that much of his daughter's current routine revolves around the noises and messes that naturally come with having a newborn in the house.

But amid the feedings and naps, he said he is already noticing Sylvie becoming increasingly aware of what's happening around her.

"It feels really cool to see her learning so actively every day about everything, understanding feeding time and nap time," he shared.

He's also begun looking for signs that his daughter has inherited some of his own traits, joking that Sylvie's frequent stretching reminds him of himself.

The couple announced that they were expecting their first child in May. They were thousands of miles away from home when they revealed that they're going to be parents, with Palvin proudly showing off her growing bump during a red carpet appearance at the 79th annual Cannes Film Festival in France on May 14.

The pregnancy announcement came nearly one month after the expectant father reportedly held a trespasser at gunpoint at their sprawling property, having tackled the intruder to the ground outside their residence in Los Angeles.

Law enforcement officials received a call from Palvin at around 12:30 a.m. on April 17, according to the Los Angeles Times, which reports that the fashion star told authorities she had seen a "creepy guy" outside of their Los Angeles home.

Palvin is understood to have reported the incident as a potential robbery.

Although the police have released little information about the circumstances of the arrest, unnamed sources told TMZ that Sprouse had tackled the trespasser and then held him at gunpoint until the police arrived and took him into custody.

The unnamed suspect is not thought to have entered the couple's home.

Police told the outlet that the suspect was taken into custody and there were no injuries.

Neither Sprouse nor Palvin has publicly commented on the invasion, which, according to TMZ, is not the first time someone has tried to gain access to the couple's home.

The outlet also captured footage of the multiple "No Trespassing" signs posted outside of the couple's Spanish-style abode, which they purchased for $1.8 million in 2021. Realtor.com® estimates suggest it is now worth closer to $2 million.

The 1,700-square-foot home has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an eight-car garage.

Property records show that the couple purchased the dwelling in an off-market deal—and it had not been publicly listed since 1998, when it was sold for just $495,000.

Sprouse and Palvin met in 2017 at a party, and they made their relationship official in 2018.

In 2019, the couple moved to Brooklyn together and documented their romance online.

In 2022, one year after purchasing their shared home, Sprouse got down on one knee and asked Palvin to marry him. The couple later tied the knot in 2023 in her home country of Hungary.
