For years, Ron Popeil asked television viewers, "Now, how much would you pay?" For the late infomercial pioneer's longtime Beverly Hills home, the answer happens to be $25 million.

Known as the Popeil Estate, the gated property at 1672 Waynecrest Drive is available for the first time in a generation, about five years after the Ronco founder's death in 2021.

Popeil and his wife, Robin Popeil, bought it in 2002 for $7.5 million, according to The New York Times, and raised their two daughters, Contessa and Valentina, there.

The Mediterranean-inspired villa was designed by the late architect Jack Warner and was built in 1995 for Hard Rock Cafe co-founder Peter Morton.

"Designed by Jack Warner, originally built for Peter Morton and then owned by the Popeil family for nearly 25 years, the property has a remarkable history that is intertwined with Los Angeles itself," says listing agent Linda May of Carolwood Estates, who shares the listing with Drew Fenton.

Reached by a private gate and a long driveway at the end of a cul-de-sac, the home measures about 14,595 square feet on 2.34 acres. It has eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a large motor court, and ample garage space.

Inside, a skylit double-height foyer rises to nearly 30 feet beneath vaulted wood ceilings. Ceiling heights elsewhere start at 14 feet.

"Warner designed this gorgeous Italian villa with a dramatic 30-foot vaulted foyer and a scale you just rarely see today," says May. "Yet, thanks to exposed beams and endless French doors, the grand layout still feels incredibly warm and inviting."

A sweeping staircase leads to the primary suite, which has two bathrooms, two closets, an office and a private terrace overlooking the city and the Pacific Ocean. Robin Popeil told the Times the family spent many hours on that balcony reading to the girls, and that her husband would sometimes cast a Pocket Fisherman—the fishing rod his father invented—into the pool below for the kids.

"The true heart of the home, though, is the massive commercial kitchen where Ron Popeil actually tested his famous inventions," says May.

The eat-in kitchen has commercial-grade appliances, marble counters, and exposed beams. It served as the set for a 2017 segment of The Henry Ford's Innovation Nation, with Popeil's olive oil bottle collection—recognized by Guinness World Records as the world's largest—in the background. Valentina Popeil told the Times that the kitchen "was for sure the heart of our home."

Other amenities include a screening room with a projection booth, a gym and a wine cellar that holds more than 600 bottles. French doors open from the main living spaces to shaded terraces, terraced gardens, a swimmer's pool, and a broad lawn that once held a chicken coop.

"The seamless flow from the house out to the pool and breathtaking ocean views is truly magical," says May. "Plus, there's a fantastic flat pad just waiting to be turned into a private pickleball court or a beautiful citrus grove."

"It's incredibly rare to find over two acres of absolute, gated privacy at the end of a cul-de-sac," she adds. "You feel completely secluded in nature, yet you're just minutes away from Sunset Boulevard and the heart of Beverly Hills."
