As San Francisco’s booming tech industry prioritizes return-to-office mandates, demand for luxury homes has surged in and around the city by the bay.

A newly-listed $9.9 million Sausalito, CA residence is currently the highest-priced home for sale in the town—and with an entire wellness floor, it may just be the nearby escape professionals are looking for.

In a video tour of the property, listing agent Tyler Stewart of Health Real Estate notes that in addition to "epic views", the luxury residence offers privacy, convenience to San Francisco, "and a lifestyle that allows you to connect when you want, and pause and breathe when you don't."

Perched above Richardson Bay, just seven minutes north of the city, and a stone's throw south of beaches and trails, 234 Currey Lane is in a spot the current homeowners liken to "being away without actually going anywhere."

The recently renovated, 4,800-square-foot home underwent a two-year transformation led by an elite Bay Area team: architectural firm Ike Baker Velten and interior designers The Wiseman Group, both recognized on the Architectural Digest AD100 list.

The brief was to create a home that felt "sophisticated without feeling pretentious."

The three-bedroom, three-bathroom home spans three levels, each with its own dedicated purpose.

The main level is all about living and entertaining, with expansive windows boasting panoramic views of the bay and the lush surrounding landscape at every turn. This floor is home to a beautifully-updated kitchen with custom cabinetry and stonework, Miele appliances, Waterworks fixtures, and a full butler’s pantry.

The living and dining rooms are sprawling, with the open floor plan creating a seamless natural flow between dedicated spaces. There’s also a custom stone fireplace, which serves as a stunning visual feature and a way to stay cozy within the area’s mild climate.

The layout is rooted in convenience, with easy access to two of the home’s bedrooms, as well as the two-car garage and mudroom.

The upper level is an entirely-private retreat dedicated to the sprawling primary suite, which includes a separate lounge and reading space, a custom dressing area, and a spa-inspired bathroom.

A free-standing tub takes center stage in the en suite, anchored by two separate vanities set against sizable windows.

The outdoor space is as much a part of the suite as the interior, as this floor also hosts multiple private view decks, highlighting the resort-inspired philosophy of the residence.

It’s easy to understand why the current homeowners refer to the upper level as their favorite part of the home, as they’ve spent their time at the home “waking up to boats moving across the water and a view that never looks quite the same twice.”

The lower level—the dedicated work and wellness floor—is perhaps the most unique feature of the home, a fully-rebuilt solarium with a copper roof that provides easy access to the kinds of experiences most people need to leave the house for.

The flexible multi-use layout includes an office with its own deck.

With a sauna and steam shower, the fitness area is well-suited for an exercise regimen that includes a lavish wind-down.

There’s also plenty of room for fun to be had, as the lower level contains a media lounge, recreation area, a wet bar, and wine storage and refrigeration.

The entire home underwent a transformation that transcended cosmetic updates, working from the inside out to tackle the electrical and networking infrastructure and install enterprise-grade indoor/outdoor Wi-Fi, a property-wide audio system, and four-zone HVAC. There’s also an integrated fire-suppression system.

The remodel also included new and upgraded windows and doors, a deck rebuild, new French oak flooring, and work to the kitchen.
