$55 Million ‘Tropical Paradise’ in Malibu Is the Week’s Most Expensive Home Listing as Florida’s Luxury Mansions Continue To Boom

The South Florida luxury housing market is once again dominating the week’s most expensive homes list on Realtor.com®, as the Sunshine State continues its parade of ultrapricey megamansions listed for sky-high amounts.

For the third week in a row, Florida has some high-flying offerings for high net-worth investors seeking trophy properties while reaping the rewards of the state’s many tax benefits.

The top spot this week goes to a staggeringly priced $55.5 million waterfront estate in Miami. The eight-bedroom “tropical paradise” in posh Coconut Grove boasts a coconut shell elevator, a pond, yoga pavilion, pool, and a boat dock.

Other pricey properties this week include a Laguna Beach, CA, contemporary undergoing a massive renovation, in addition to a Manhattan quadruplex with views spanning One World Trade Center to the Hudson River.

Price: $31,850,000

Two-home compound: This legacy compound boasts a five-bedroom primary estate and a four-bedroom guesthouse.

Built in 2002, the homes have two distinct addresses and two-car garages, and they feature a modern open floor plan designed by Palm Beach architect Gene Lawrence.
