‘Sex and the City’ Star Chris Noth Lists Longtime NYC Apartment for $1.5 Million—After More Than 30 Years

"Sex and the City" star Chris Noth is moving on from his longtime New York City apartment, listing the luxe Greenwich Village dwelling for nearly $1.5 million.

Noth, 71, who famously starred as Mr. Big in the hit HBO series, is bidding farewell to the one-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom abode more than three decades after purchasing it in 1994.

The actor has put the property on the market for $1.495 million, having previously offered the residence as a rental multiple times during his ownership.

Described in its listing, which is held by Daniel Davis of Corcoran SoHo, as offering "breathtaking prewar grandeur," the apartment boasts soaring ceilings, hardwood floors, a wood-burning fireplace, and an array of original architectural details.

The listing marks a major real estate move for Noth, who has owned the Greenwich Village property for more than 30 years—spanning much of the period in which he became synonymous with New York City thanks to his role as the elusive Mr. Big on "Sex and the City."

Noth has attempted to shy away from the spotlight since 2021, when multiple women accused him of sexually assaulting them.

After the women came forward, the actor was dropped from the finale of "And Just Like That" and was fired from CBS drama "The Equalizer."

"You give yourself the same excuses that many men do; it's just a little side dance, and it's fun," he said in a 2023 interview. "You're not hurting anybody. No one's going to know about this, you know, and sex is just enjoyable. And suddenly, a lot of people want to have sex with you. It's like, 'Well, I'm not going to get this chance again.'"

Fellow stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon issued a statement at the time, praising the women for coming forward and made it clear that they supported them.

Noth has repeatedly denied the accusations, including during a 2023 USA Today interview, for which he was paid in clothes.

"I strayed on my wife, and it's devastating to her and not a very pretty picture. What it isn't is a crime," he said at the time.

"You give yourself the same excuses that many men do; it's just a little side dance, and it's fun. You're not hurting anybody. No one's going to know about this, you know, and sex is just enjoyable. And suddenly, a lot of people want to have sex with you. It's like, 'Well, I'm not going to get this chance again,'" he said.

The allegations ranged from women in Los Angeles and New York, beginning in 2004.

"There's nothing I can say to change anyone's mind when you have that kind of a tidal wave. It sounds defensive. I'm not. There's no criminal court. There's no criminal trial. There's nothing for me to get on the stand about and get my story out, get witnesses. And there's even more absurd add-ons that are completely ridiculous, that have absolutely no basis in fact. And I don't like talking about it because as soon as I do, you'll get the Daily Mail or someone grabbing a part of it and doing it, and I don't want my kids seeing that," he said.

He added, "I'm not going to lay down and just say it's over," he says. "It's a salacious story, but it's just not a true one. And I can't just say 'Well, OK, that's it for me' because of that. I'm an actor. I have other things that I want to do creatively. And I have children to support. I can't just rest on my laurels. So yeah, I have enough to let a year drift, but I don't know how to gauge or judge getting back into the club, the business, because corporations are frightened."

Noth recently revealed that his son, Orion, whom he shares with wife, Tara Wilson, is heading off to college. Wilson and Noth also share six-year-old son Keats.
