Musician Avril Lavigne's former Malibu mansion is back on the market just two years after she sold it to a new buyer—who is asking a staggering $14.5 million for the home, almost double what they paid for the pad in 2023.

Lavigne, 41, snapped up the California blufftop estate in 2020 for $7.8 million. But just three years later, the "Complicated" singer was ready to say "see ya later" to the picturesque abode and put it on the market for just a hair under $12 million.

Though she found a buyer within a few months, the hitmaker took quite a hit in the sale—which closed at $8.3 million, a significant discount from her original asking price.

Now, the home's latest owner is ready to try their luck at turning a tidy profit on the four-bedroom property that spans 3,455 square feet and sits on a 30,000-square-foot lot with "incredible unobstructed ocean views," according to the listing.

Though evidence of Lavigne's occupancy of the dwelling has long been removed, there are hints at the property's celebrity heritage in the listing, which touts the home's incredible privacy.

The dwelling is "extremely private and situated behind gates on an almost 30,000-square-foot lot perched on the highly desired Zuma Beach Bluff," the listing states.

It offers "gorgeous interior spaces with stretching walls of glass, expansive outdoor patios, entertainer's pool and spa which all overlook the sand with whitewater views of Zuma Beach."

Lavigne owned the dwelling for only a few years before offloading it—marking the latest in a line of real estate transactions that she has been involved in throughout her dazzling career in the spotlight.

Before buying her Malibu abode, the singer had made multiple attempts to offload a European-style mansion in Sherman Oaks, CA, which she bought with ex-huxband Chad Kroeger, lead singer of Nickelback.

The couple purchased the palatial property in 2015 for $5.99 million, only months before they split. The home made it onto the market in 2018 with an optimistic $8 million price tag. The ask dropped to $7.5 million the following year, and after several more discounts, the home was eventually sold for $5 million in 2019.

Previously, Lavigne owned a Bel-Air mansion that she purchased with her first husband, Deryck Whibley. After they divorced in 2010, the two put their swanky estate up for sale for $9.5 million in 2011.

The Canadian pop star sold the home to NBA star Chris Paul in 2012 for $8.5 million. After Paul was traded away from L.A., he sold the home, which is now reportedly owned by Michael and Fariba Rad, the parents of the founder of Tinder, Sean Rad.
