"The Golden Bachelor" star Gerry Turner has put his sprawling Indiana lake house on the market for just under $720,000 amid his ongoing battle with cancer—months after his ex-wife, Theresa Nist, revealed the role that the property had played in their sudden divorce.

Turner, 74, appeared in the first season of the "Bachelor" spinoff in 2023, when he and Nist, 72, appeared to fall head over heels in love, getting engaged in the final episode of the show, then tying the knot in front of the cameras in January 2024.

However, just three months after their wedding, the duo announced in a joint appearance on "Good Morning America" that their marriage was over—with Turner later revealing that he had been diagnosed with Waldenström's macroglobulinemia a few weeks before they decided to divorce.

"As Theresa and I were trying very hard to find our lifestyle and where we were going to live and how we were going to make our life work, I was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer," he told People in December 2024.

Turner explained that his diagnosis made him rethink the priorities in his life—specifically his plans to leave his home in Indiana in order to relocate to Charleston, SC, with Nist, who was living in New Jersey when they wed.

"I wanted my life to continue on as normal as possible, and that led me to believing that as normal as possible more meant spending time with my family, my two daughters, my two son-in-laws, my granddaughters," he said. "And the importance of finding the way with Theresa was still there, but it became less of a priority."

Speaking to the same outlet, Nist said that Turner had told her he was "sick" of his lake house in Hudson, IN, and wanted a change—only to then U-turn on that view when he returned to the property after their whirlwind courtship.

At the time, he told People, "There's a topic that I haven't wanted to talk about until now. I think it's time, also because it probably will clear up a lot of mystery around what happened back in February, March and April." (Realtor.com)

"That was the plan. I was selling my home. He was selling his home," Nist said. "[But] Gerry, after he got back home, he kind of changed his mind.

"He said, 'No, let's do it six weeks here and six weeks there.' And I didn't want to do that. I really wanted a home together. I wanted the joy of being in a home together and designing a home together. I really thought that was going to be phenomenal. I was looking forward to that so much."

It is unclear what has now prompted Turner to put the property on the market, with records indicating that he first listed the home for $739,900 in July of this year, before lowering his price to $719,900 on Sept. 23—one day before the new season of "The Golden Bachelor" is set to premiere on ABC.

According to property records, Turner snapped up the property in 2020 for $181,250.

The dwelling comes complete with four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms and sprawls across 2,624 square feet. It is being offered "mostly furnished with a few exclusions," according to the description.

The listing, which is held by Daniel Orlando with The Anchor and Arbor Team, describes the home as having been "exceptionally well cared for" and emphasizes that there are "no additional steps needed to get to the water edge."

Just steps away from the lake, the expansive home features a porch with several seating areas and stunning views of the water.

Upon entering the home, guests are greeted with an open floor plan that blends the kitchen and living area.

The lower-level flooring is wood, and the living room features glass doors that allow natural light to flood inside and open up to the deck.

The custom kitchen boasts "dovetail drawers, granite countertops, and bar seating for four."

Moving upstairs, there are four "generously-sized" bedrooms that all come complete with queen beds.

The main bedroom features cathedral ceilings, a walk-in closet, and a main bathroom with a walk-in shower.

This room also offers sweeping views of the water.

"On the lower level, right at lake level, theres a large second living room, a kitchenette, and a full bathroom, giving guests plenty of space and privacy," adds the listing.

The lower level is the perfect place for guests to gather and for a future owner to entertain guests.

"The Golden Bachelor's house is being offered mostly furnished with a few exclusions. All watercrafts, their associated equipment and coordinating lifts, the wine/beverage trunk in walkout basement are excluded and other sentimental and personal items are also excluded," the listing adds.

The description calls attention to the home's potential as an Airbnb or short-term rental, noting that it provides direct access to the lake, without the need for any steps down to the water.

Although Turner has not addressed his decision to sell the home, the former reality TV star has spent the last few months jetsetting around the U.S.—and beyond—with his new partner, Lana Sutton, who he began dating in March.

According to Turner's social media accounts, the duo has traveled to London, Paris, Charleston, and Canada, in addition to a Mexico trip that the former "Golden Bachelor" took at the start of the year.

The father of two has also continued to speak out about cancer awareness, sharing a video on his Instagram urging people to "donate to a cause that will save lives," while documenting his own battle with the disease.

Turner revealed to People in his December 2024 interview that there is "no cure" for the slow-growing form of bone marrow cancer he was diagnosed with; however, he has vowed to continue fighting the disease for as long as he can.

"Unfortunately, there's no cure for it. So that weighs heavily in every decision I make. It was like 10 tons of concrete were just dropped on me. And I was a bit in denial for a while, I didn't want to admit to it," he told the outlet.
