Once again, the “Fixer Upper” magic is real.

A Woodway, TX, home was on the market for $195,000 in 2015, a year before HGTV stars Chip and Joanna Gaines stepped in to make it over.

And now, we see the home back on the market, priced at $549,900. It’s also pending sale.

The Waco, TX, home was renovated on “Fixer Upper.”

Renovation heaven

Those of you who can math have already figured out that the home increased in value by 175% since 2015. In addition to general home appreciation, Chip and Jo’s mad renovation skills also elevated its value.

The property was “100% remodeled with the highest quality design and finishes,” states the listing. The photos show signature Magnolia design touches throughout the four-bedroom, three-bath house in the Woodway suburb of Waco.

Featured in “Fixer Upper” Season 3, episode 10, this modern farmhouse includes a sliding barn door, a crisscross-style staircase railing, and rustic wood details in the living room.

Joanna has never been one to design gleaming white kitchens. Instead, she prefers to warm up the space with grays with hints of blue or green. You can see that in this kitchen has blue-gray cabinets and an island base. There’s also Carrara marble countertops, a Wolf oven range, and other stainless appliances.

An office nook that’s stylish and efficient

Though the home was renovated before COVID-19, the Gaineses were prescient in adding a study area right off the kitchen. Their carpenter, Clint Harp, designed the built-in desk, shelves, drawers, and cabinetry for maximum style and efficiency.

The living room was nicknamed the “Colorado Room,” with Joanna explaining its evolution on the Magnolia website.

The owner, Luke, “is a true outdoors guy and loves the mountains, so I thought this stone fireplace, custom cedar mantel, and gray built-ins would be just masculine enough of a space for him to feel at home,” Joanna wrote.

The Gaineses made even more significant changes outside.

“The exterior of the Whyte home received quite the overhaul,” Joanna wrote. “We painted the brick a fresh (and appropriate) white color to match the style of the inside of their home and updated the round windows on the bottom floor to simplify its look.”

In addition, they removed an awkward small balcony on the front exterior and replaced it with a small porch overhang and metal roof.

In the backyard, they added a covered patio/porch with a built-in kitchen, and a fire pit conversation area, both ideal for entertaining friends and family.

Texas has a nondisclosure policy about final sales prices on residential properties, so we don’t know for sure how much the family paid for the home in 2015, nor how much the current buyer will ultimately shell out for it. But it’s obvious that Chip and Joanna added great value and style to the home, as they do.

Really, is it any wonder the remodeling duo got their own home design network?
