Diane Keaton’s Final Laguna Beach Design Project To Hit the Market for $10.3 Million

Diane Keaton’s final home renovation project is heading back to the market with an asking price of $10.3 million, providing an opportunity to own a home that still features details hand-selected by the late “Annie Hall” actress, who was also known for her interior design passion.

Keaton bought the four-bedroom, three-bathroom Laguna Beach, CA, home for $6.6 million in 2021 and sold it post-transformation just a year later for $7.9 million.

“This was Diane Keaton’s last home renovation and still includes all of her lighting and personal touches,” listing agent Brooke Wainwright told Mansion Global of the dwelling, which is set to officially hit the market Thursday, Sept. 17.

Perched on an oceanfront lot, the property boasts gorgeous Pacific Ocean views and lots of privacy. A wooden staircase at the back of the house provides direct access to a sandy beach.

“The home offers an intimate connection to the coastline while maintaining a level of seclusion that is increasingly difficult to find,” the listing notes.

The 2,700 square-foot, two-story abode was built in 1976, but was updated with Keaton's signature modern black-and-white aesthetic, which is present throughout the exterior and interior.

The sprawling open-concept floor plan is expanded even further with gorgeous cathedral ceilings and ample windows.

The living space is split between various connected levels. Airy shades of gray and white create a sense of calm in the kitchen. There are plenty of dining options, with a formal dining area just steps from the waterfall island that centers the room.

Down a half-flight of steps, the living room is arranged around a bold brick fireplace, with large glass doors leading to one of the home's oceanfront decks against the adjoining wall.

The lower level of the home is primed for entertaining, with an additional living space and a bar.

An additional outdoor space is just as ready to host celebrations, with a grill, bar, sink, and pass-through window providing easy access to the interior.

Upstairs, the primary suite is a full-fledged retreat with access to yet another deck. There’s also a cozy fireplace and a thoughtfully designed primary bathroom, offering a double vanity, a standalone tub, and a walk-in shower.

While Keaton left her touch on a handful of homes she flipped throughout her life, Wainwright noted “she loved doing her flips in Laguna.”

This Laguna Beach getaway isn’t the only former property of the prolific actress and designer to hit the market recently.

Keaton’s former Beverly Hills estate found a buyer last month, after a series of price reductions knocked a whopping $6.5 million from the original $25 million asking price.

The “Something’s Gotta Give” star purchased the six-bedroom, nine-bathroom Spanish Revival from Madonna for $8.1 million in 2007. “American Horror Story” creator Ryan Murphy called it home at one point, too.

Throughout the renovation of the Beverly Hills abode, Keaton stayed true to the home’s original style. Striking dark wood ceiling beams, arched doorways, terra-cotta floors, wrought-iron accents, and rustic fireplaces married its early charm with her original style.

“Diane was one of the most prolific architectural and design minds that we’ve ever seen in the real estate community,” listing agent Rayni Williams of Beverly Hills Estates told the New York Post.

Just weeks prior, on Aug. 18, Keaton’s final home—known as “The House That Pinterest Built”—was sold for $18 million. She carefully documented the renovation process, sharing it with the world in a 2017 book of the same name.

Keaon purchased that Sullivan Canyon property for $4.7 million in 2011, spending eight years transforming it into her dream home before making the decision to list it in March 2025, months before she died at the age of 79.
