The Trump brand is expanding in Saudia Arabia to create Trump Plaza Jeddah—and the $1 billion project, which is still years in the making, is expected to transform the skyline.

Dar Global, an international luxury real estate developer, is collaborating again with the Trump Organization to create a Manhattan-style district. The organizations have also partnered to build Trump Tower Jeddah, which was announced in December 2024.

The development will be located right in the heart of the city and will include premium residences, apartments, office space, and exclusive townhouses.

The centerpiece of the plan is what's being described as a Central Park-inspired green spine. The landscaped park will run the length of the development. The idea is to bring a taste of Manhattan to Jeddah.

Trump Plaza Jeddah will combine residential living, work and leisure all in one destination. The complex will have offices located next to apartments and premium residences. Home offices are also going to be incorporated into the private residences.

"We are honored to expand our footprint in Saudi Arabia with the Trump Plaza Jeddah," Eric Trump, executive vice president of The Trump Organization, said in a press release.

"This project embodies our vision of excellence by blending world-class hospitality, modern living, and dynamic business environments. Together with Dar Global, we are creating a destination that will set a new benchmark for prestige and innovation in the Kingdom."

Trump takeover

Trump Plaza Jeddah is described as the "newest icon" to join Trump Tower Jeddah—which isn't built yet.

Both landmarks will be located along the Red Sea and described as the "most coveted address" which will offer waterfront views and a city skyline.

It's also conveniently located near attractions, such as the marina, Formula 1 racetrack and the world-famous King Fahd Fountain.

"Trump Plaza Jeddah is a pioneering concept in Saudi Arabia and one of the most ambitious developments Dar Global has undertaken to date," said Ziad El Chaar, CEO of Dar Global. "By combining residential, serviced, and office components with a Central Park-inspired landscape, we are delivering a unique lifestyle destination that reflects both Manhattan's vibrancy and Jeddah's strategic role as a cultural and commercial hub."

The Trump Organization says Trump Tower Jeddah will have 47 floors and 350 residential units ranging from penthouses to luxury apartments. It's under construction and slated to be finished by 2029.

The Trump Organization has collaborated with Dar Global before on The Trump International Oman project—one of the "largest premium mixed-use real estate projects in the world."

The developments are aimed at targeting the luxury Saudi Arabian market and international investors.

$134 billion in real estate and infrastructure is helping to revitalize Jeddah's economy, according to research by Knight Frank, a global real estate consultancy firm. In 2024, the city's housing market saw the highest growth in value and volume. Residential transactions grew by 53%. Jeddah's total housing stock grew by 17,830 new units in 2024, bringing the total to 909,360 units.

Knight Frank's report said the Premium Residency Visa unlocked real estate to foreign investors, allowing residency through property purchases priced at over $1 million.
