An ultralavish five-bedroom penthouse, nestled atop Pritzker Prize-winning architect Zaha Hadid's luxurious One Thousand Museum in Miami, has just closed for $21,925,000.

The opulent 9,200-square-foot residence originally hit the market for $25,000,000 in January 2024 before being reduced to $23,750,000 six months later. Saddy Abaunza Delgado of One Sotheby's International Realty was the listing agent, and the seller was Karlovy Properties LLC.

"Zaha Hadid is a legend, and this home is really an art piece," said Shauna Walters of Walters | Plaxen Estates, who represented the buyer, along with Lianne Graubart of ONE Sotheby's International Realty.

"It has 13-foot ceilings, a fully enclosed second kitchen, integrated systems, and an expansive wraparound terrace."

Nestled in the instantly recognizable exoskeleton 62-story residential tower across from Museum Park, the sprawling condo offers panoramic views that span from downtown Miami to Biscayne Bay.

"The buyers wanted to be close to the restaurants and shops in Miami and were set on a couple of buildings, including Five Park," says Walters.

"When a buyer knows what they want, it makes it so much easier. This unit is a one-floor penthouse that has 360-degree views."

Initially, the buyers were looking for an off-market transaction.

"Sometimes people feel like they might get a better deal or no one else has access to it," she says. "Then I showed them this property."

Found throughout the opulent mansion in the sky are floor-to-ceiling glass walls, ceramic tile floors, and expansive terraces to soak in the breathtaking views.

The recently transformed condo that has been "extensively upgraded" now has heightened ceilings in the living and family rooms. Designed for grand-scale entertaining, the unit also offers separate staff accommodations, as well as parking for four vehicles.

Built in 2019, the eye-catching building, showcasing Hadid's signature fluid design, has interior floor plates that are almost entirely column-free.

A $19,876 monthly association fee provides access to a "wealth of amenities," including a sky lounge, an aquatic center with an infinity-edge pool, and event space on the top floors. Other highlights include a fitness center, a full-service spa, a private screening room, and even a rooftop helipad.

Walters says the South Florida real estate market continues to boom, in the years since the COVID-19 pandemic.

"A lot of people started coming here for the tax benefits and politics and found they enjoyed the whole energy of the city," she says. "It's a really nice lifestyle. In Miami, you can go out to dinner and it's so lively. That's missing in L.A. It's thriving in Miami."

In addition to buyers seeking residential real estate, Walters says corporations are also flocking to Miami.

"There is so much wealth and new construction here," she says.

"So many people from New York, Chicago, and L.A. are moving here, and the real estate market is still selling in big numbers.

"It's so diverse, and we are seeing a lot of international presence. It has become much more sophisticated with technology and entertainment clients as well. Miami has become a true global city."
